Project Spotlight: Windsor Kids’ Washroom

I’m excited to share a little celebration of our own: a recent project that earned us an ASID award from the Minnesota Chapter! More than the recognition, we love that this bathroom brings our clients joy every single day.

This shared bathroom needed to do a lot: serve the everyday needs of a 10-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, feel mature enough to host guests, and offer serious storage without expanding the footprint.
To make it happen, we reworked the layout with the contractor. We relocated the toilet, raised the shower ceiling, replaced the cramped linen closet with a custom floor-to-ceiling cabinet, and upgraded the vanity from a single sink to a custom double sink vanity.

In the shower, we added a deep niche that runs the full width of the back wall—no more storage buckets on the floor (see image below).
One of my personal favorite details is the extra-long linen shower curtain that adds softness and drama at the same time. We had it custom-made with colors both kids like!
Before
After

As good as this bathroom looks, our favorite part is that our clients were over the moon. Here’s what they had to say:
“They are visionaries! They can see what's possible and create spaces that truly combine comfort and style. From high-level concept to finishing touches, it was a gift to work with them—highly recommend!”
